Anyone converted their stratus to electric ? I am planning to do that with my stratus, do you think its a good idea, an actual 90 size electric. Also if I ordered it from MA do you think they can build it up for me, if I pay their building charge?

Why not sell the Stratus and get an Ion? It was designed to be a 90 size electric and will probably be lighter than the Stratus after conversion.

I agree with bob00,
I had the same questions - you are better off just selling the stratus and buying the ION - its actually more cost effective.
Or wait for the MDX 500 which flys just like a stratus or ION-X will less power, but very good better then 50 size performance - batteries are much less$$$ and looks like a great design.
I am waiting for one of those,
Jeff

There's a kit available to rebuild the extreme/tempest to Ion. I guess this'll work for a Stratus too.

Actually, the batteries being used for the MXR are the same batteries that have been used by Will, Bobby etc to power their Ion's for the past six months or so...the Duralite/Flightpower 3700mAHr 5S1P's.
The MXR would of course get longer flights than the Ion on the same battery, but the Ion can carry more battery for longer flights...if desired...FWIW.
And of course, you could set the MXR up to run on less battery, say 6 or 8S for less spirited but more economical flying...FWTW.
