Hi, for some reason XTR doens't recognise my gyro channel.
Stikcs are working fine, but the gyro channel is not detected by XTR.

What do I do wrong?

If you used the GYRO function for the channel, set the function button to NULL and then go into the GYRO menu and adjust settings there. Otherwise, on the function screen use the GYRO2 function and then assign it whatever button/switch/slider you want.

Are you guys using any of the heli features of the 12Z in XTR? I'm just using a default plank setup to fly the helis.

Some work. Did you have any specific ones in mind?

No, i was just wondering if when you set up a new model, just for use in the sim...do you use a default heli or a default plank? I was under the impression that you use a plank because Reflex handles the CCPM mixing. But I didn't know for sure, maybe I was missing something.

I used heli as my default. Reflex doesn't do CCPM; you must use the standard swash config and make sure you are setup for PPM. All ATVs at 100. Here's a post I made in another forum that might help:

Someone (sorry, didn't catch your name) approached me last Monday while fun-flying at Sanford and wanted information on the 14MZ models I created for use with Reflex XTR ...

The files you want are in here: http://www.rcfan.com/files/14MZ/Reflex14MZ.zip

There's two 14MZ model files, one for use with Reflex models using governor enabled and one without it. The governor'd version includes rpm idle-ups on SE & SF, useful for when you enable pitch->throttle for a model (otherwise the gov'd rpm is set in the reflex model file). Depending on Reflex model, RPMs should be 1550 (normal), 1750 (idle-up 1), 1800 (idle-up 2), 2000+ (idle-up 3). The non-gov'd version has typical throttle curves you'll want to tweak to suit your own needs/taste. Throttle-hold is on SG, cut on SH, gyro control is on SB and I added some triple rates on SA (rudder) and SC (aileron/elevator).

The zip file also contains the Reflex channel assignment (.fnc) and calibration (.kal) files; I recommend you calibrate your radio directly (see below) if the .kal file doesn't work for you. There's three Reflex XTR bitmaps for us on the 14MZ, assign to the radio models as you see fit.

Calibrating the 14MZ in Reflex is very simple. From the radio, go into the Servo Monitor screen off Linkage Menu. Select Neutral Test (click button on upper, far right) then select the enable test mode (push Test Off button until it changes to Test On ... you should notice the servo channels all go to center). Now go into the Reflex Radio menu and perform the calibration process. Disable test mode on radio.

Note this is still work in progress for me as I am still learning this awesome radio ... lotsa fun it is. :D I know you mentioned you currently use a 9CHP, you'll love the response of the gimbals on the 14MZ ... super smooth, simply superb. PM me (or reply here) if you have any questions.

Enjoy.
