Is a Futaba 9650 paired up with a 401 gyro enough for a Swift? The reason I ask is I am looking at the options in selling my T-Rex and I am wondering if I should keep it or sell it with the Rex.

Hey,
Looking at the specs the S9650 is only 0.3kg less than the S9254 that works so well with the GY401 and so I'd be inclined to say you will be ok with this servo on the Swift.
The only area where a change maybe of benefit is in the speed of the servo, as the 9254 is 0.06 second to 60 degree's and the 9650 is 0.11.
I'd say perhaps later down the line, as money allows etc. change to the 9254 for the faster speed, as thats where the main advantages are to changing servo's.
Also then the tail control in fast backwards flight.

Get the 9254 now. its bigger so it'll fit in the servo hole.

Hey,
There's no need to worry about hole sizes, the Swift tail servo is clamped to the boom with two seperate clamps and so is adjustable.
But if you can stretch to it then buy it.
