Finally got some time to put the new GY-520 in place of the GY-611.

Bird lost little over 2-oz in weight (7lb 12 oz dry RTF).
Performance appears to be equal or slightly better than the GY-611 and the installation is cleaner than the previous 2-piece system.

After 2 full test flights and 1 "fly it like you stole it" flight...I found the 12z x-mitter back at the same settings as with the GY-611...about 38% gain in AVCS (95mm tail blades), 80% travel on low rate and 90% on high rates, F3C mode.

I do STRONGLY suggest that if you put the GY-520 on your Pantera or 50 size or greater bird...set the performance to "Large Heli".
I tried "Reference" for about 45 seconds in the initial flight...testing piro rate and stopping. The "Stop" was so strong & violent it stripped 1 tooth off the tail drive pinion gear.

Cool. I was waiting on one of those to come out myself, then I ended up getting another 401 and servo. We can let you be the tester, you fly better than me anyways..
