Come on people.. I find it hard to believe there is only 2 people who fly or want to talk about these helis? I just bought my first heli a Venture. It is a good stable bird good support, rugged. Maybe this is why we don't talk about them much in that they just fly and fly and fly..lol
talk to you all later !!!

Vibe 90 person here...... I lost my clunk line last weekend so I am out of commision until I fix that.... But it gives me a reason (now that I have a 14mz) to put it to 140 CCPM as I am running 120 due to my old 9Z having interactions at 140. I also want to put in my 5014 G3 RX but I have been worried about doing so due to some reports of lockouts..... I am going to go for it anyway.

haven't got much response to my posts regarding venture 30 problems either. they are older models, not very popular anymore i guess. or maybe it's just me. :?:

I dont think the JR helis are among the more popular machines. Why I dont know. I am brand new to helis and traded a plane to get this one. i am just looking for other guys to talk to and help each other out.. I think jr has a good product.. the vibe 90 mentioned my finless is a nice looking bird.. maybe others can tell us why jr isnt so popular.?

I fly JR helis. I think part of the reason why you don't see more JR helis around is because most smaller hobby shops only stock one brand of helis, and when the Thunder Tiger Raptor 30 came out it was very popular so most small shops started stocking it. The TT Raptors, and replacement parts were also much cheaper then the JR helis which also helped them sell, and once it became most clubs beginner heli of choice people then just seamed to stick with the brand due to local parts availablity. JR helis also gets hurt because most of their helis are designed in Japan, and tend to reflect the style of flying they do which is a much smoother type of flying and not 3D that most Americans prefer.

Paul, i agree with that! It's a shame really as I would not trade my Vibe 90 for 10 Raptor 90 SE's!!!!! It flys THAT MUCH better and yes I "feel the difference" :)

I have been flying my little JR Ergo30ss for 3 years now, and it has held up like a piece of granite. No problems or break downs (except those that were my fault  ). It was my first and I still love to fly it.

I am glad to hear that JR does have a decent following. It doesnt bother me that the helis are less acrobatic. I like scale models moreso than 3d. My Venture 30 is in good shape. I work in and hope to buy my local hobby shop. :glasses:
Do any veteran pilots have any advice for me specificaly concerning JR Helis? I am new to helis but have always enjoyed them, even my 30 second first flight 15 years ago :glasses2:
Talk to you all soon...lets keep this forum growing :D

I have a Venture 50 that I am still trying to setup. A couple of JR reps have given me advise about the setup on the heli and the radio but, when I compare it to the Raptor 50, it's just not a 3D machine. The Venture 50 seems very stable and flies well in the wind but does not seem to have much pep in 3D flight. I prefer the Raptor 50 for 3D and have not given up with working out the setup for the Venture.

I am flying a Venture 50, this is my first heli and I love the thing, nice and stable, almost hands off hovering. Had a few minor crashes, nothing serious, very minimual cost in reparing the damage. Great kit to build, easy to set up, and great to fly

Less aerobatic????? Have you seen curtis youngblood fly? He is the reason I bought my vigor .90 I say that the JR birds are very smooth and stable and also very aerobatic. I had my vigor 2 foot off the ground inverted the other day and I was scared to do that with my old raptor. My vigor just gives me more confidence to do the manuvers. My 2cents.

I've got a Vigor CS and 2 Voyager 50's. The new Airskipper 50 is as good as any 50 size out there.

There are still a lot of us around. I have 2 CS machines with OS70s in them. Both are awsome flying machines. Very smooth and 3Ds great.

I'm proud to announce I've added myself to the list of JR flyers as the proud owner of a new Venture 50. About 80% finished with it....need some servo extensions and some other stuff before I'll call it complete. I have an OS .50 SX in it, Futaba 7CH, GY401/9254 installed in it. Having a little bit of trouble getting the swash level, but just taking my time with it....want to make sure it's done properly. Any hints on the swash would be welcomed

Haha well I have a venture 30 but like apdmc I am waiting for servo extensions. Funny how such a part is actually the one thing I have had the most difficulties finding. Since I wanted a bunch of things I have my extensions on order with greathobbies but they don't stock it so I am waiting.
That being said if I had gotten a Rap 30 I would have been able to get most of my stuff from the local store. However, I didn't want to be another guy at the field wit the Raptor. Considering I already learn how to fly on my own with a t-rex I thought I'll be a bit different. Plus I just like CCPM more.

I have venture 30 cp its a great heli ...im only learning...im up to doing stalls loops rolls inverted hover (scary) rippin it around havin a ball
i run a gy401 its great carbon blades and a pipe...thats it
the guys in the shops tell me the gearing is to low on this heli that is why it loads up and bogs down but if you fly within your limits your fine
just run it a bit leaner
i think this is a great heli to learn on very stable easy to setup and work on looks great in the sky
my next heli will be a 50 size but unfortunatly it will be a raptor 50 titan
watched videos of jr and raptor 50s and rappy go's 10% better what a shame cause i love my venture 30
Helimarty..........fly3D with me
