Hi guys I have a question about the Spektrum DX7. I have chance to buy a DX7 so I can use with a trex-450 heli. The DX7 says "AIRPLANE VERSION", does that mean I can't use it on my Trex?
Please help me out.
Thanks

No, will work with both helis and planks, just the switch arrangements differ from memory. There is still a heli and aero section for your models.

I'm using the AIRPLANE version with no problems at all. The software/programming are the same with both versions.

The differences are:
The heli version comes with a smooth spring on the throttle so no ratcheting. But AFAIK, the Airplane version comes with the smooth spring, so you can swap it.
The heli version defaults to heli as the aircraft choice.
The heli servo has the three position switch on the top left forward. The airlane version has the switch on the front top. In helis this is the Flight Mode switch (Normal, Idle Up 1, Idle Up 2), so top is easier to get to. And virtually every other heli radio has the 3 position switch in that location.
