I just read this over at RR and thought it was an excellent point about woodies. I've never even thought about it.
Here's the quote:

My T-rex has never been crashed.
The insidents I am referring too are one tail blade breaking, managed to land the heli just fine and one other time, my motor cut completely due to a failed pack and again landed with no problem (both times the heli landed on it skids). Ever since I've done arround 100 flights with these blades and always tracked perfect even on high speed turns where they are supposed to be stressed the most.

You do realize that unlike carbon blade, wood blades need to be changed on a somewhat regular basis to the the fatigue in the wood. I normally like to change blades once I can start to flex them, or once my flight quality has dropped. Chances are you just had to many flights on the blades, and since it broke where I've noticed a lot of stress is broke, chances are it wasn't the blade being faulty, just to many flights.
