Also i will be running JR8717 on cyclic with a reactor regulator can that reactor suport 8 V.
Also will be putting in swithglo if running on 8V should i get the Swithglow for 8V or does it matter

The difference in the motors is one has a pump to pressurize the fuel system and the other relies on your muffler (exhaust pressure) The reason for the pump is to have constant fuel pressure the whole flight, if you use the muffler pressure you will tend to lean out late in the run with the fuel pressure dropping. I have head half the people liking the pump and half hating them due to problems or diaphragm issues. I run the non pumped version and run a header tank, that way the engine sees a full tank of fuel the whole flight and the tune never changes, I love the way mine runs on that setup!

If your talking about the Scott Gray Reactor Regulator, then no you don't need the 8v switch glo, in fact you can't use 8v switch glo with it. The regulator only controls the servos, 3 in 3 out. You would have to run the switch glo from the receiver itself.

I'm going to start putting together a 700N tomorrow. I'm going to use the Align engine and Outrage Pipe. A very good friends recommendations. He also suggested using Align DS610 servos. I know that the 8717 are the tried and true and I have them on a 600ESP, but there has been a lot of improvements in servos and the 8717 may be overkill. The 610's sure are cheaper. Anybody using them, and have any thoughts about them????

im using the ds620 servos on my 600 and 700 no problem doing hard pitch pumps or climbouts with them, they dont skip a beat. and they take a beating. for the price no one can touch them.:woohoo
