Hey Robin. Will just told me about this forum shortly before he left our house. I wish you could come visit with him sometime. You can always come inside our airconditioned home and not feel uncomfortable. You'd just be one of many, I promise. Our house is pretty much open to all. Especially wives and babies. Thanks so much for the coat and clothes AND the last bag you gave us. They are great!!!!!

I hope we can meet soon. I would love it if Clint would bring me up there. I love the mountains. Plus, I would love to go back to the Biltmore.

On to your question for the canopy, do you just want to have a canopy made for him?

Hello Heli Wives! I myself am a widow and find comfort in knowing that there are other women out there in the same boat, and making it. These guys are crazy arn't they. I'm not sure what it is that pocesses them to the point of becoming a heli freak but it's something. Maybe the smell of fuel has zapped there brain cells. No, I'm just teasing I love my husband and the other heli guys are great. They all seem to have this silent brotherhood about them. At the flying events they just seem to bond. For example say a guys bird goes down, next thing you know he's at the table rebuilding with help from everyone. Parts just come flying and the bird is back together in no time. All I know is that these guys are fun and seem to stick together. It is some unseen force that draws them to the sport as well as eachother and I'm glad for that, because I've met some terrific people and neat wives over the past 2 years. Ladies I know that we can be there for eachother, for stregnth and friendship. I propose that we have our own fun here on the forum. Ladies let's post our favorite recipes and stories. I have a great one you gotta try it!

2 Step Biscuits- (great for breakfast or a side for dinner.)
1 3/4 C Self Rising Flour
1 C Whipping Cream

Blend together spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake 450. 10-12 min

These are light and fluffy, like KFC. Try it!

Thanks for the words of comfort everyone. Not that it is good to know that there really are other HeliWidows out there, but it is really good to know that I am not alone.
Siri, thanks for the recipe....
and JulieStone- Thanks for the offer. One of these days I will take you up on it.
Pretty soon, not only am I going to have lost my husband to Heli's, but I am afraid my son is falling in "Freak" too. He loves Heli's.
He uses to call them Nini's, but he has graduated to Heli now.
Thanks again everyone, and I can't wait to meet everyone.

Hi everyone. I will be away for awhile, while I'm attending my grandmother's funeral in Massachusetts. I will check the forum and e-mail occasionally.

Hello all heli freak wives. I guess as it is always that I am the odd ball of the group. I do not feel like a widow at all. I love this hobby and all that applies. The guys and gals are great. I love to travel with my husband to all the fun-flys and see everyone that is there. As soon as I give birth to little Conner I look forward to finishing those flying lesson so I can really be out there having fun. So to all that feel like you are widows, just take more of an interest. Hey maybe one day you will out fly him!!!!!! :D

Hey I'm glad to the wifes and girl Friends in here gives them a place to Vent to one another. And chat among them selves's.

Anyone up for Great Recipe I bake a lot. Or did. Have a great brownie one. Also a Black bottom banana Bread. Great for Sunday School.

Be nice to them out there flying no one said it's a Guy thing. I know women prefer other activities. Don't feel bad ladies I used to Drag race Professionally and my wife was a Widow I was hardly ever home during the race season between traveling, testing and rebuilding. If was home I went Flying My stress reliever. Guess that's why I'm devorced now. But wasn't from the racing.

Will...
Im with you there...My wife can outshoot anybody I know...
We use to go to the Turkey shoots alot when we moved back here about 3 years ago...All the guys would shut up when she shot and Ive heard "oh no she's here"...
My wife shot my Berretta .40 the first time and was only about 5mm from the center....I shout about 150 rounds and never got that close...Still had good grouping though...about the size of a basketball.

Basketball is good. My Sig P229 is hard for me to get a basketball sized grouping with at 40, I've heard the 357sig is easier to shoot good. My former GLOCK 22 was easier for me to shoot better, but always made Robin nervous, as did the reports of accidental discharge from GLOCK's, especially durning cleaning breakdown.

The heat does me in....and I know during the summer the flying fields can get so very hot. Hopefully Joseph and I will be able to visit and play when it gets cooler.
Quilting is my newest "hobby". Been through basket making and stained glass. Maybe I could quilt a Heli........

Take your boy gab else where please! This is the ladies thread ... HA HA HA You boy have more to say than the women. I see 9 male posts, and even fewer ladies posting. What is it were you all endowed with the gift for gab once you joined the heli gang? I'm teasing just in case somone misunderstands why I'm razing the guys.

yes yes, I know I'm a guy in the girl post.... I think this would be a good place for my girlfriend to visit :D I was giving her some lessons on a piccolo and she picked it up extremely fast, so I sold the piccolo in fear that she would someday outfly me... just joking, actually I needed the money for bills, but I'm going to get her a heli of her own soon. I couldn't help but notice that raptorwife is located in western nc? I was wondering where abouts, I'm in cullowhee nc next to western carolina university. maybe you would like to visit our field. talk to you later.

Just outside of Asheville, NC. Where is your field, and are there many Heli fliers or mostly plankers?
