cut the antenna on 770

Hi,
I closed the case on my 450 and the antenna wire got cut about 1" from the loose end. is this ok or do I need to repair or replace

will work fine but for max distance (mainly on Planes) I would solder the inch back use comparible Multistrand wire with a heatshink sheath the sheath will also double as a good point to hold with a tie wrap to frame
