Hi,
We are most likely (99.9%) moving back to the US. This move will happen aprox. within 2 years from now (takes a while to plan and get organized). We are not really sure where we are going to live in the US, but we are thinking somewhere in Texas. Any tips on good places to live is appreciated. Any town or city that has a strong IT-industry.
Anyway, I am just wondering where the competitions are held in the US each year?
Hopefully I'll see you guys there in a few years from now :D

If you're wanting Texas and a strong IT environment, don't look anywhere else except Austin. It's rapidly becoming the New Silicon Valley.
I lived there once. Trust me... it has exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks.
Does not have to be Texas, just someplace warm, where I can fly all year without freezing :)
Are there more competitions on the west or east coast?

East Coast, for sure. I do not see any contests on the west coast scheduled this year. There is one in Texas, but I'm not sure if it will happen. Contests expected to continue next season are Tampa, Birmingham, Nashville, and maybe Chattinooga (they just lost their field though). Look at the Florida job market, too. FL currently has one of the best economies in the states, no state income tax, and lowest unemployment rates. Best markets are Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami.

Hinke,
Like Buddy said, Austin. It is an IT dream and just getting bigger. You can fly year round with no problem. If you live in Austin you would be a little less than 2 hours from Where Curtis Youngblood lives too. A nice little plus for us heli guys.

Thanks.
Planning has started to move back. I am not a citizen of the US, but my wife is American. We met in Ohio at a University (lived there for 6 years) and moved to Sweden to give it a try. We have lived here for 6 years now, but we are ready to move back.
See you all there :) Looking forward to see how I compare to you guys in F3C.

Yep, I agree with Buddy & Gary O. Austin is the place to be, economy is booming right now and has been for quite a while. Both Texas and Florida are great states and you can carry concealed!!
