West Coast Contest Interest?

I am curious how many out there would be interested in an AMA/FAI rule book event on the West Coast?? I know this is the land of 3D, but surely I am not the only one who would like to fly precision contests!!

I agree...I am brand new to this but was hoping to find events closer to Vegas than Virginia to attend. Nothing against VA, I am originally from there and could use a vacation to see family, but I have two teenagers to afford.
If you here more, I know it will be awhile before I am ready for competition, but I would love to attend.
3D is really cool, but after watching some FAI skills...wow they are a lot harder to do with precision than I ever thought they would be!

Phaedrus, if you ever catch wind of something out here, look me up. I'd be interested in trying out a contest. I'm just north of Sacramento and will be traveling this year for some IMAC contests as well.
