I am trying to set up a new comers heli and he's running a 10X radio.

I've got everything set up other then his Throttle hold and Kill switch.

And when you try to hit throttle hold - it's basically currently set up as if you were doing "Switch 3D" meaning that when you hit the throttle hold switch the ccpm goes backwards along with the throttle and only thing I can think of is back in the day i heard of people using a switch for when they were in verted so the heli flew exactly as if it was upright (meaning all the imputs were the same as if you were up right)

So how do I get rid of that so it only does throttle hold, and is it possible to re-assign the Th - hold to a different switch. The manual for the radio was of no help to me for this.

Also Throttle Kill - didn't even start to try to set that up but if someone could write out the procedures would be of great benefit for me.

We are hoping to do the first test flight tomorrow - but i didn't want to try it until I have these 2 things set up.

Well I'm not going to give you a step by step as I don't have a 10X to compare with my 12X, but they are quite similar.

The radio has Flight Modes which will allow you to setup for different control deflections i.e. a Normal, Stunt 1, Stunt 2 etc. with different pitch and throttle curves in each mode. Throttle hold also has a curve which must be configured and is done in the same page by flipping the hold switch on.

Throttle kill? Are you setting up a nitro bird?

JR doesn't have a native throttle kill like Futaba but you can do the same thing by setting up a throttle/throttle mix and assigning it to a switch with enough travel (percentage change) to close the throttle barrel on the engine. You'll have to check through the mixes and see what switches are available for each mix as not all the same switches are available on each mix.
