Working, Haven't had time to do anything with the car and I'm waiting on my valve covers to come back from polishing.

I was watching the Lepton vids and I'm inspired to go out in the shop tonight and work on my Raptor50 electronics.

That is a great looking heli for a Lepton name!!! Better than I thought it was going to be. I'm impressed. I've heard Hirobo makes really nice quality stuff.

Guess I better make that other DVD cover before I go to bed. :D

Step 18+19....................... Hirobo, Hirobo, Hirobo, Hirobo. Was wondering how many times you were gonna say that. LOL!!! Good stuff though, as usual. :noteworthy

I was referring to the building of the flybar cage. "Make sure the links are opposing, Hirobo, Hirobo, and Hirobo, Hirobo"..........It just seemed like there was about 6 or 8 Hirobos in about 10 seconds time. I just love the sound of that word. It's funny all by itself. Great video, Bob.

Step 22 "partial" has been posted.
It is clear if you follow the steps in the manual you may have to do some dissassembly depending ont he motor used. I am using as Hyperion 3025-10 and you will simply not get access to the motor screws with the main gear, pinion, and boom installed. Again your experience my vary depending on the motor used.

Enjoy,
Bob

yup.... The only thing that I could keep thinking as I was hearing the "Hirobos" was the Simpsons episode with the "Flaming Moe". "Well you know Homer, All Moe and Know Moe makes Moe a Moe Moe"... LOL. Great Stuff Bob.

Bob cant you just stud that motor with long set screws. Loctite them in, then use nylock nuts with washers on top of plate. then you can use a wrench from the sides. I'm guessing here without having one in my hands.

oops just now noticed no accsess from sides

Possible but I think it is still going to be a problem as they are sunk down in the plate. Posting a vid now of the completion so this will give you an idea of how tight things are in there!

eh.. not sure though but according to the post, here's the gear:

1. Futaba S-9650 digital servos
2. Futaba GY401 gyro
3. 4S2P in parallel (8160mAh total) lipoly pack
4. motor is similar to what is in the Hirobo Lepton website (blue outrunner with fan at the bottom)

Just posted step 24. There is a tip about the screws holding the outer balls onto the swash plate that I think is important! They stick out the back side and can possibly pop a link.

If I were to build another Lepton, I would install the motor to the Titanium spacer before I installed the spacer between the carbon frames.

Too right.

This is the only seriously 'dodgy' part of my build so far (though I'm not through yet). The various pre-drilled holes only line up front & back - I'd have preferred the ones at 90 degrees to the fore/aft axis to be elongated too, so you can use those as well.

I haven't had a chance to check out Bob's video, so maybe he's sorted this already! :-)

Any cons you see for this heli?
