Joined helifreak to try to get some help with 14mz, gv1 fury

received a 14mz for my first fathers day and disabled a perfect fury extreme on 9z w2. I am more into flying than setups but have put extensive effort into online research and manual reading on the 14mz.

first problem I am running windows xp and the downloads will not open even after I downloaded a zip program.
the fury is pretty much setup now except the gv1. I followed ericks switch recommendations everything went well put normal idle1 idle2 hold in order.

dg2 on the servo graph changes from full up to full down with sw a??
I put the gyro rate 1 at 38% and that is what the gyro shows and put rate 1 into group, left the other two rates alone, is that right?
in the governor mode im lost so any help is great, a step by step button by button would be a dream come true.

If you want someone here can just sent you the File and just save it on your 14MZ. Much easier :)

I have not purchased a card reader yet. I tried to load the programs I hae found like ericks fury setup but I do not know how to open the files or even where to start.

I will try to get it done untill I fall asleap again tonight , I can probably fly with the way it is set up now but rather be 100% sure the setup is perfect

anybody out there know the programing in lamens terms :)
my last resort is to wait till I get the futaba flyers club registration back

I would suggest to get a card reader. I don't think you will be able to figure out the setups by trying to read the files visually.

If not I can write something up when I get home tonight. I had the same problem when I got my 12z. When I finally figured it out I was like....IS THAT IT???!!


It really is super easy to setup.

Just a note, the .mdl files that can be downloaded CANNOT be opened in any application on your computer to be viewed. The one and only thing that you can do with them is to transfer them onto the CF card and load them into your TX.

Many people think they can look at the files or otherwise view them and that is just not the case. This is not very clear on the website either.

flew the fury today and everything was great exept the hold did not turn off the governor.

also picked up a card reader loaded the drivers, opened up my computer then the eport. the 4 files opened up I tried the picture folder and music folder everything seemed to work, (I draged a sond from i tunes into a new folder) but when I install the card back into the remote no files found. did manage to transfer the song name into the sound file then I read the manual and figured out I put into the wrong folder, then erased the file and put it into the wma file.
the instructions are not great and advice ??
