I use Cool Power, the green stuff. My question is can fuel go bad? I am almost done with the gallon bottle of fuel and I always defuel what I don't use back to the bottle and now the fuel has taken on a darker tint. Should I dump it, eco friendly of course, or use what's left?

Thanks

Ed

When you drain your tank back into the bottle you are adding some contaminates from the exhaust residue and any water picked up from the air that is in the tank of the heli.

I just leave the fuel in the tank for next time and have not had an issue for the last 35 years.

The fuel is probably still OK to use, depending on how much stuff is in the fuel, you may need to richen the needles a few clicks.

If you read the FAQ's on Morgans website (maker of Cool Power) they reccomend against defueling back into the bottle.

Andy and Jeff,

Thanks for the information. I will stop putting the fuel back into the bottle. There is less than one tank left in the bottle so it will be a good time to stop.

Thanks for the help,

Ed

something ive done with my raptor 50 is place a fuel filter in the line from the exhaust to tank to filter the air going to the tank, it helps prevent the fuel from getting darker
