Okay I admit it, I messed with the low speed needle and now I cannot get the engine to start. I can get it running briefly but as soon as I remove the glow plug driver it shuts down. Once I got it to idle but as soon as I added power it shut down.

Another question I have is how often should the carb be removed and cleaned? Since I am having some trouble with my OS 32 I thought maybe it might be a good time to clean it up. My engine is a little over a year old and I hace run 2 gallons through it since it was new.

Thanks,

Ed

If it stalls as soon as you remove the driver, it's prolly too rich. If you have a good idea the high end needle is somewhat close, lean the idle only and start it again, remove the driver and see if it keeps running... if it does not keep running.. lean some more and repeat...

Once it stays running with the driver off.. while it's running, pinch or remove the fuel hose from the carb and listen to how the engine dies.... if it revs up a lot before it dies.. it's still too lean on the idle... work it until you can remove the fuel input to the carb and it does not rev a lot before it dies.

This will get you close. Take your time and make small adjustments.

Well as luck would have it after the engine cooled off over night I took it out today and it started right up and idled fine. After I took off I noticed a lack off power so I leaned a little and after that it seemed to have plenty of power, and more smoke than I have seen in a while.

As I'm fond of saying, "Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while!"

Thanks again,
