I'll try to be brief..I cut my teeth on a honeybee cp2..mastered hovering and a little nose in before my 4n1 burnt out..Picked up a shogun (old version with gear drive tail) off e-bay..had a very bad vibrations..completely tore down the heli..sure enuff the main shaft was bent as was the spindle/feathering shaft..I replaced the stock main with the stainless version and replaced the bent spindle..blades are completely balanced (about the only skill I have truly mastered..:-) but I still get a awful vibration from about 1/4 throttle up..it never does stop..I mean it gets better at higher head speeds but never actually goes away..when spooling down it is so bad that it almost will flip the heli on its side..I have torn down and rebuilt this thing 5 times now and I cant find anything out of the ordinary..this is a completely stock bird with the brushed motor..PLEASE, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated :arggg: :arggg:

Check the tail rotor shaft. Just a little's all it take's, also the collective wire should be strait.

Yup, check the tail shaft. the shaft is soft metal and has a tendency to bend.

Yup, check the tail shaft. the shaft is soft metal and has a tendency to bend.

Already replaced the tail shaft with the carbon fiber shaft with the bevel gears..I can feel the vibration (although I would call it more of a wobble) even after the tail has stopped spinning. I did notice thought that the rotor hub seems to be a little off center..If I spool it up without the hub the shaft is perfectly straight..but attach the hub without the blades and it looks like the hub was manufactures a little out of round..there is no play between the hub and mainshaft..so I am leaning towards this possibly being the problem..has anyone else encountered such an issue?
Thanks for your advice..it is greatly appreciated

Be sure your main blades are balanced. if you are using stock shogun blades switch to wooden shogun or Rex 305 or 315mm wooden whic are cheaper.
my tail boom is slightly bent but still flys fine with a belt drive.
