retailers are not allowed by Augusto to sell outside a defined geographical zone

Synergy is doing this and will be scre**d in the next few months by the European anti monopoly and fair concurrence comission. Putting a serial number on their kits to allow dealers to check origin will seal their tomb. Most dealers are ignoring that deal anyway. Only catch is that you have to buy the spares where you bought the kit so it doesn't spread to synergy's ears... go on, ask me how I know :p

About this matter I don't think Augusto has taken that decision yet.

One question though. If he really goes for it, what is going to happen to the hundreds of persons that have been happily pre-ordering their Auroras (paying a fee of 120-150$ in most cases) at sites like SkyLine, RcMarket and SoloEli?!?

If the compartimented market really goes ahead, are those stores going to give their foreign customers their money back? I bet some ppl are going to get really pissed about that.

Augusto
Status: Elite Veteran

Registered: Jul 2001
Location: San Diego, CA No, dealers are assigned a territory.
ercmarket's territory is the Benelux countries: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. As per the dealership agreement any sale outside those countries will get their dealership revoked.

i asked why a shop in germany or in the US is not allowed to sell a kit in france

And you've been answered time and time again. The problem is, you don't like the answer, so you keep dragging up the same old B.S. as before.

You've made it clear that your single mission is to cause as much grief to Augusto and Avant Helicopters as you can. Now you've supposedly taken it to some "authority", and you seem to be gloating about the way you're wielding your "power".

If you don't like the way Avant does business, then don't buy their product. It's as simple as that. It's not your place to make it your personal mission to cause Avant as much damage as possible, just because you have a grudge against Augusto for the way he does business. No harm has been done to you personally, so drop it.

You've become an annoying pain in the rear. I've tried discussing it with you privately, I've asked you privately to change the direction of the thread, and you still insist on trying to stir up trouble.

You've said your peace, you've done as much damage as you can, and I'm tired of asking you to focus on something else. NOW I'M TELLING YOU... FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE.

This is your last warning. Next time, you may not like the results.

As a consumer. I really don't care what rules a manufactuers sets forth for dealers that will be selling their product. I feel that is the manufactuer's right to set up their dealer network how they want. Bottom line, if you don't like the way the manufactuer is setting up the dealer network. Then don't buy the product. It is pretty simple.

is this a threat?
you better stop because i am just discussing a very important issue to all of us
the way you react shows that i am right
i am not scared by your way of talking to me
if your not happy with my way of discussing things its not my problem

The point is that is the way he want to run his "business". Whining about does little to nothing. If you think people from Germany are not going to buy the helicopter because they can't buy it cheaper from France, I would say you are wrong.

Augusto is not "ashamed" of his dealer network practices because (as you have noted) it is public knowledge. The only way you can show your discontent is by not buying one.

is this a threat?

No. I'm simply telling you that there will be consequences for your decision.

if your not happy with my way of discussing things its not my problem

It is if you want to continue discussing things on this forum.

yes you are right
but i have also the right to disagree with this practice against a free market
helis are expensive enough without that kind of market behaviour

ShawnK

Yes, you do. And you have disagreed ad nauseum. You've said your peace on this forum and several others, and now you need to let it go.

So what's it going to be? Are you going to move on, or keep pressing your luck?

Yes you have the right to disagree.

Just llke the manufactuer has the right to market the heli the way they want to. After all it is a free market and that is their right.

Thx for pointing out that post

Oh well. Its pointless discussing this here over and over again. Once the bird hits the stores we will see.

But yes, the european market has rules.

Don't think so but my list is almost complete and I'm up to 3500$... the longer it takes for the bird to come out, the more time I have to gather the money together

on the "other" forum Augusto stated " I can't give you an exact date, but Santa will be busy bringing people Aurora's for Christmas" I I would expect an official dealer list soon!

this was a very recent post
