Anybody have a beater CF side plate cheap??

I want to try to make up a set of side plates out of polycarbonate, but I only have the stock plastic set and to do it right I will need to get the layout from a CF frame. I was just wondering if anyone had a beater side plate that you could part for cheap so I can use it as a pattern.

.125 lexan is only $7 for a 12" by 18" sheet. Tough stuff.

maybe next time somone has one aprt....or if they have a side frame they could trace it and send you a pdf file.....then you could make a template out of it...

I'll bet Wazzer has a copy since he is also making sideframe from lexan...

Ben's frame will be CF... the prototype is lexan...and I bet Steve has a template for the CF plates... he made his out of cutting boards.

here's one of the outer side plates....would something like this work..

The end by the 9 inch ruller mark broke out the landing gear...but next time I can still use these with a little repair......

I tried doing a PDF scan but the file was too big to download here.....I could always e mail it to you but I don't have the full fuse available to scan. Don't know if a jpeg will be good enough

I don't think a pdf or jpg would work.

I am actually trying to finish making my own CF main blades and canopy cause I am a crazy DIY kind of guy......

No problem....steve would rather use cutting boards anyway....

But Wazzer might have a cad drawing or something......just not sure where you could get a full side that was usable.
