I just want to share this experience. After 3 hrs of pain staking task. I dont even know how to solder a battery. But still manage to overcome all the difficulties with some help from my wife ( holding the battery ) hehe..

I put the battery inside my radio and Tada!!! Its working. It needs to be charge though hehe. but its working !!!

I have 1 Question though.

Since I have a new battery pack. 2100 mAh. Can I still use my old charger the output is 9V 700mAh

Or Can I use my Adaptor output 12V 1500 mAh?

Heres the picture of Finish product. :)

those solder joints are 'cold'. You will likely have problems with the solder seperating from the tabs, and the wires at one point.
Buy a higher wattage soldering iron, or soldering gun and re-solder all connections.
Solder should flow and be shiney and smooth when a connection is complete... Yours are neither unfortunately.
I'm not trying to bust your balls, I'd really hate to hear you crashed due to a battery failure.
If you can, find a local HAM radio club and ask for help, most older technicians are pretty good at soldering.
FWIW: when I was making high amp packs for r/c cars, I used a plate of Aluminum as a heat sink to help prevent overheating the batteries while soldering them together.

Haha I knew My soldering sucks... Yeah thats what I thought too....

On the battery, how come the solder doesnt stick to the plate? lol'

I have to put like lhuge amount.

But on the pre solder battery I barely even see solder.

50W soldering Iron will that work fine?

the soldering Iron I used now, comes from the Dollar store shop.... works fine with deans connector etc.. but it takes time for the lead to melt :arggg:

I would suggest buying a battery that is already put together. From a place like Radical RC or any of the other battery places. You can get a battery that all you have to do is solder the wires to the board from the battery.
I agree with Wayne, from the pictures you posted. No way would I use that battery in my radio. That is a crash waiting to happen.

Went ahead and double check the connection. All of them are pretty darn Tight! But I will still redo as soon as my new Solder Iron comes in. :)
