I bought a couple of 2000 mah Kong Power batteries a few days ago and they just arrived. I didn't realize until I looked closer at the package that they are 12C batteries. I assume for a nitro bird that's ok, but wanted to verify. Ok or not?

Thanks.

Yes, they should be fine. Let us know how they do; I'll be in the market for some new RX packs.

I bought the Outrage XPRX. Seems to do a good job and a nice shape too!!!!!!

Not cheap though at 23 or $33.

Back to the original question, the electronics are not going to draw anywhere near the 24A maximum the battery is spec'ed at, so any more than 12C is overkill. I doubt the battery will even get warm. It's only when you get to the high current draws of an electric motor that C rating becomes significant.

My unofficial test on my 600N with an Align 2-in-1 at home revealed what I was anticipated.

The battery I was growing concerned was a 1-1/2 yr old Kokam 2000 mah LiPo. Lately it always has been dropping one light on the Align 2-in-1 once I press the glow ignitor. It will go down a 2nd light on the 2nd flight typically with the glow ignitor energized. One light will come back on after it kicks off, but still I would be down 2 lights after 2 flights. Also, all the lights slightly dim when I hit the ignitor.

Tried the Kong Power 2000 mah and it seemed to light the Align 2-in-1 lights brighter and when I hit the glow ignitor 3 times in a row, the light all stayed bright.

I think the Kokam was starting to get "tired".

With my new battery and a new spiffy canopy, I'm ready to rumble once the weather cooperates.:happyd

Yeah, it's been pretty bad. But, it beats a drought like we've had in years past.

I think my packs are getting "tired" too because I see the same things you were seeing.

Flew with the new LiPO and was tinkering with settings, but got at least 2 flights with all lights on. Much better than before.

I know a 3/11.1v cell Lipo would weigh a bit more but could the Align 2n1 handle it? or will it only work with 7.4v
I guess what I'm Saying is does the 2n1 step down the power so that you could plug in any battery and it will convert it to what the receiver can handle?
I have a couple 3 cells laying around and I'm having some of the same problems, After a fresh charge i only got 4 flights and at the end there were only 2 solid lights with one green flickering!
Thanks for the Help!

From the product spec the 2-in-1 will only work with 2 cell LIPO

Ohh Well
I kinda though so but was hoping i didn't have to buy a battery!
I guess i'll try one of those Outrage XP's!
See if I can get at least 6-7 flights out of one charge......:dontknow

I have been "eye-balling" that battery for a couple of months now...I want one but am concerned with the weight and size...Do you mount it under the electronics tray??? Do you have any pics???

That 5000mah is SWEET...I have my reciever mounted on top of the tray though...Is there a chance that it would slip between the frames and hang under the tray???

Nice pics BTW...

I mounted the bat under the tray and it fit between the the frame sides just fine and the canopy still mounted fine. I took a couple of pics but did not get them posted last night. If you want, I will post tonight.
