I decided to wait no longer for the new Powerjazz and had the first flight`s with this new machine using HV 110 on 12S Kokam.

The gearing was set up for using 15S. I could only get about 1920 rpm Headspeed at hover. Governor had nothing left. :(

Ok, but this was maybe not too bad for breaking in the Packs...

Climb rate and Power is comparable to different well doing 90`s, flown at the field this afternoon.


First positive impressions: very precise flying bird/ HV 110 is doing well for me with latest software/ Packs are cool.
First negative impression: it`s very noisy!/ Motor-temp 70°C without hard flying.

I`m going on to change gearing for some more power...

Congratulation Marcel....any idea of what the weight is? Looks like you have a 4800ma 12S Kokam setup.

4800 ma 12S Kokam is correct.

A dealer here does some nice testing. They did a cycle life test for typical F3A use, where max amp draw is about 70. These packs performed more than 200 cycles without balancing and had about 2% higher capacity than at the beginning of the test.

That`s why i had to give them a try...

Each 3S Pack weights 402 gramm.
The Heli is 5620 gramm ready to fly, wich is not too bad compared to a "regular" Vibe 90`s 5100 gramm without fuel...

i had to put 2700ma back after 5min`s 3D.

it`s a conversion. I don`t think there`s a real Ekit around.
Well, maybe Curtis has one?

Will post some pic`s from the Motormount i`ve done.
Adapters for using the original Pinions are available from the Distributor here.

Changed gearing from 9:100 to 9:88

-way more power and constant Headspeed up to about 3/4 max Pitch.
-CC HV 110 works very fine, set to Governor mode. (1.51 Software !!!)

-It`s less noisy now.

Had Hibox logger hooked up to get some Voltage/Amperage graphics but lost all data from yesterday flights, due to wrong manipulation :roll:

seems i have to go to the field again, today :?

it flies like it looks...
Did some Grip-flip job a few flights ago, and now it`s pretty quick on fast collective inputs.

There`s a big :glasses: on my face after every flight.


only thing i`m not sure about my decision is the Plettenberg HP 370.
There`s lot of rpm drop under load.
I would really like to try an Actro 32-3.

I saw Michel Jager's Vibe E flying yesterday at D3D. It was after the competition though. The machine really looked great.
