Default How does this setup sound?

I've decided to get the flybar version after reading a lot of posts about vibration problems
here is the setup I'm planning to get:
Gaui 200 SE V2 kit
pheonix 25A esc
stock motor
GY401 Gyro or GP750?
S9257 or Hitec 5084?
DS410 x 3

How is this?
Do I really need those gyros and servo to hold the tail? Or will cheaper ones do the job?

Thanks guys

Buy once cry once, starting to live by those terms. I picked a gyro I could take to a T-rex 450 or larger if I get there. If you can afford $20-30 more and are on the fence, by all means, go for it.

You won't get that difference back if you need to trade up.

the 401 is a great gyro, have it on my 450 with no complaints, but the 9275 is overkill. I run a ds 290g with no problems...when I'm up in the air.....grrr...

i would go with the GP750 with a hyperion DS-11GCB tail servo, I have this servo on mine and it is awesome, and a 25 amp might be overkill unless you plan on running 3s if you are only gonna run 2s i would get this one -

12A ESC is a little low; 18A ESC is OK; 25A ESC is too much , but it can go.

Seems like to much weight for this little bird!
Your flying weight should be at least be under 300g. Mine is 304g on a 3S setup(ca 30g extra lipo weight) and with a lighter canopy I can get it under 300g

With the stock motor I don't think you need the extra weight from a pheonix 25A esc.

GY401 is kind of a large Gyro for this little bird(I don't know the GP750). Personally I have a Logitech 2100T. A Spartan ds760 is my best advise.

S9257, Hitec 5084 are heavy servos and deliver much more than you need.
I have 3x Hyperion Atlas DS 09 SCD on cyclics and a Hyperion Atlas DS 09 GMD on the tail. They ROCK! Light weight, super fast and strong. You can't beat that!(to day, that is)

Remember to get a pair of the Align 205 Carbon blades as well

Hope this helps

WOW 300g !!! that is way lighter then my 250
The spartan is way too expensive... and I only have a GP750 on my 450, dont want her to be jealous
Does the stock esc put out 6A? Do I need a BEC?
I might try the Hypersion HP-DS09AMD Hypersion HP-DS09GMD

The SCDs are lighter and faster than the AMDs with metal gears, but I guess the AMDs will be fine. (I still recommend the SCD tho).

The stock ESC outputs 5V. Check out the servospecs here:
http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/at-ser/A...N-PG1-DS09.pdf
In other words, with these servos you don't really need 6V

I you ever plan on doning 3S with the stock ESC you should now that the internal BEC can get quite hot. Mine wouldn't work for more then 45-60 seconds before a thermal shutdown, while other people don't have issues at all. Anyway, my solution was to remove the original heat sink and glue on a ribbed one with some thermal epoxy(from Artic silver). Works lika a charm now and stays very cool.

Yeah, this bird is design around a 2S setup and it seems to kicks ass with the 5150 motor. But the amp draw is also very high! Note that the new V2 works very well on 3S if geared properly(like don't use the 15 tooth pionion on with 3S lipo unless you want to rape the litle sucker in less than 3 min ;-) ). Everything but the BEC runs much cooler on 3S (when geared properly!), and you have 50% more juice from your lipo pack at the cost of < 30 grams.

Watch this great video with Bobby Watts
Bobby Watts Night Flying The Gaui 200v2 (6 min 44 sec)
He has a very good setup there!

Anyway it't just about 2S with 15(stock) or 16th pinion, or a 3S with 10th or 11th pinion. You could always try out both like i did. (and love the 3S setup )
