Can the FX40 be converted to use in the states?
Is it a matter of changing modules only?

Don't see why not. Module appears to be the same as used on the 14MZ. It might need a trip to service for calibration, but other than that, it should work okay.

Just a module change and receivers to match and it will work. These would need to be 72mhz.

Hi guys,
Unfortunately, we are not able to do any service on the FX40 as it was not imported into the US. You would want to contact someone in the country that this was purchased in for calibration or service.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,

I sure they are many other out there that can do service just as good as Futaba.
Who out there can work on the Futaba radios?
