Woo Hooooo - It finally arrived last night! It's Beautiful Man! :D

The lines, the high gloss, the vivid colors - what a pretty box!

Wow! I can't wait to open it! Of course I'll have to save that for another day. Can't take too much excitement in one evenning - I might pop!

Woo Hoooooo!!

Thanks!

Who did you get yours from? You got it fast.

Anyway, it was interesting openning up the box and going through it because there was a huge sence of deja vu since I've been watching your videos!! :D

So, there were no real surprises. Everything looked high quality. It was the first time I got a good feel for how much bigger it is than the Trex. I pulled out the canopy and blades and compared them to the Trex.

In a way, the best way to describe it is that it looks more like a scaled down EVO 30 than trying to say it is bigger than a Trex.

There certainly seemed to be a lot of parts (compared to my SE) for a "low parts count" helicopter.

The only nit so far: What is a parts tree doing in a $650 heli kit??? :?:

The most frustrating thing is that Mandy and I just moved, so we are very busy unpacking, and we are going to Florida next week. That means several weeks before I can start building!! Arghhhhhhh!

Hope to be reading about the completion of your build and your first flight impressions soon.

Wow! After reading all the other posts (& the crash post), I don't think I want to fly it until the correct tail configuration is sorted out!

Serious oversight on Hirobo's part.

Also, I didn't mention it before, but I have to completly agree with what other's are saying - the vertical fin looks like it belongs on a $100 Shogun or an MX400. Not a $650 Japanese Hirobo.

What gives??

Looks like the tail heaviness and tail fin size/design is quickly turning out to be the Achilles heal of the Lepton. Hope all is worked out before my build is complete.

Hmm, just a thought... Hirobo already sends an addendum with extra parts in the kit. Maybe they should consider a retrofit kit with correctly designed tail blades and a revised tail fin....

I hate to say it, and I hope I'm wrong, but it's starting to sound like the Trex. It's a great kit as long as you upgrade the tail blades, the tail fin, etc etc etc...
