I have been reading about the gv1 runing more responsive when the throttle cure is set to 100%, I am planing on trying this tomorrow so just doublechecking that this is ok , I plan on only doing this in idle up 2 so I can switch back to 1 if the governor fails. so does this speed up the gov performance???

From my experience with the GV1. Once the GV1 is engaged, the throttle curves have no interaction with the GV1. Setting the throttle curve to 100% will make no difference. You could set the throttle curve at 25% all the way across and performance will be same.

I am sure I have read on some forum that I have spent over an hour trying to find that a few pilots have confirmed that the throttle cure does make a difference with the gv1, they say that the heli power feels way better after changing the settings
does anyone know where this forum is , If I recall correctly i remember seeing dr bens name

Well like I said. From my experience, the throttle curves made no difference in how the GV1 operated. I used the GV1 from the time it was released in the mid 90's till about 2001. Throttle curves made no difference in the performance when the GV1 was engaged. Only way I could make the GV1 perform like I wanted it to perform was doing adjustments in the secondary menu of the GV1. I could make it over speed slightly on long vertical down lines by tweaking a couple of parameters in the menu.

David is correct. Once the GV-1 has kicked in it has sole control of the throttle until the throttle goes below ~15% when the GV-1 returns control to the throttle curve. Those who are reporting an increase in performance by flat-lining the throttle curve have succumbed to the "I'm smarter than anyone else who has ever flown syndrome". When I was a young man I remember a friend who was claiming a huge increase in performance in his car. This will date me some, but he was adjusting the idle speed screw. True, his car idled at 25mph but went no faster.

I also agree, the gyro should hold the set rpm once it is on ,
I will try to find the post where a bunch of people tried it and wrote the heli felt so much more responsive.

When you find it, I think will see that the thread you're talking about was another govenor

Other governors such as the Throttle jockey are curve dependent, but as dave has said the gv1 is not. And and for those that are looking , the tj pro w/ digi servo gives BANGIN" results!!
