Hi,

Just got a new trex se. I have got it pretty well trimmed and hovering much better than the hummingbird v3 I got first!
I am confused as to how tight to have the blade screws. Are they suppose to hold the blades quite ridgedly or is the idea to fold on impact as per the hummingbird V3.?
Screws seem quite short at 14mm....no thread showing beyound the Nyloc.

Thanks

On my two trex's I leave the blades fairly loose in the grips, so as not to transfere impact damage as much. I usually just have them tight enough so they will hold themselves in place when not spun up. but will fold with minimul force.

Advice I heard from similar posts says that if you turn the heli on its side in your hand and have the blades horazontal, flybar vertical, the blades should only just about swing down from being level. So, if the blades just flop about, thats way too loose, but if you jiggle the heli about by hand and they stay rock solidly in place, well thats way too tight.

PS: There no such thing as a stupid question, only the uninformed and the misinformed.
