Excuse my ignorance, but the Lepton will be my first electric heli. I've been reading about speed controller and motor setups and think I may know enough about that to be dangerous, but when I was looking on rchover's site for motors, they list the Hyperion Z-3025 Series, in 6,8,10 and 12 "turns"? What's the difference performance wise and from flight time standpoint? I'm planning on running a 4S setup as that seems to be the most widely accepted setup for this bird. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks... :-)

In theory a higher KV motor will provide more power up to a point. The trick is to select a pinion that will give you the desired head speed and keep the motor in it's peak range. The problem currently with the Lepton is the lack of pinions. This really limits the choice of motor especially with a 4s setup. Since the smallest pinion currently available is 24t you need to pick a motor with less than 900kv. Even 900 is pushing it and can give you a headspeed of close to 3100. Because of the lack of pinions most have been using either the Hyperion Z3025-10 or the Hacker A30-10XL. I went with the Hacker since the no one seemed to have the Hyperion in stock.
