fwiw..
I've got most of the bugs out of mine, Viper tails work great at and above 2800..I'm starting to question the main blades..They seem very noisy, and I suspicion the chorwise cg is a but too far aft as they make quite a bit of noise going through 0 pitch if held there long...
I reall think blades around 70-75 g with forward cg would be great..the head has enormous cyclic power, and the good auto capability would improve to great...

The MS Composit blades only weigh around 50 grams.

28usd for a 68mm blade is stiffer than carbon fiber
the 62mm for trex is only 9.99usd, how does it cost 3 times for 10% increase of material? :arggg:

Anyone try 440mm blades yet? The cheap Helimax blades fit the grips with one of the factory supplied spacers. The tail blade clearance was close so I'm curious if anyone has tried this with the longer tail blades.
Terry have you had a chance to fly these blades yet? Will they fit without any mods?

MAH told me their Lepton blades should be ready about now !
It would also be nice to have V blades on the Lepton, but judging from the time it took to get V blades for the T-Rex 450 se, it may be a few months away...
Anyway, can't wait to try the MAH blades.

Any updates on blade options? I'd kill for a set of SAB's. Can someone point me to where the MAH-ers will be available?
Lastly, After all the hub-bub I read before I built this, I never made any changes to the head and washout and I think it's fine. Was the final verdict that the instructions are correct or is there a needed modification?
Thanks - Pics and, hopefully, video coming this week.

Here is a pic of my Lepton. I am running the MS Composit 420 main, Heliup programable paddles for the trex and 68mm tail blades from ready heli and all of the MJP CF upgrades minus the frame upgrade and esc mount. I am using the CC HV-45 with the Medusa 3.5 6V with ATX 94761 on cyclic and GY 401 with the 9650 and Evo 20 5S 3700, Hacker A30-8XL with a 19T pinion from Kovi. I am running high governer mode at 75% and my HS is about 3000-3150rpm. The motor, esc and battery are all touchable after about a 7 min. flight of pitch pumping, flips rolls and inverted punchouts.
The Heliup paddles woke this heli up no pun intended. I have +/- 11 on pitch and my aileron and elivator are maxed out just shy of binding.
The MS Composit blades are night and day better than the stock glass blades, they are way more responsive and auto better also.
This combo makes my Lepton a monster and has ballistic power. I am very happy with this setup and the only thing I would change right now is the tail servo, I will be putting the 9254 on and a set of main and tail V-Blades would be killer.
This setup made thid heli more responsive than it was. The cyclics faster and crisp.

Thanks dude! And where, pray tell, can I get MS 420's? Also, where to find the HeliUp paddles? :)
Thanks again!

I bought my MS Composit 420s from fxaeromodels.com. The heliup paddles are for the Trex and I got them from Modefos.com. I am loving this setup. :smokin:

Are you running the paddles with the weights or without? I have them on my T-Rex but never thought about running them on my Lepton.

I ran them with and without the weights and I am currently running them without the weights and it is a totally different heli. The cyclics are insanely fast. :smokin:

Just got an email from SAB and they are currently testing proto blades and they should be ready to sell in one month. Finally a pair of SABs for this bird. I love SAB blades and MAH will have a run for their money.

Has anyone tried the Helimax CF 440mm main blades? I was looking for cheap alternatives and I came across these. Will they work or are they too long. I am using the 68mm CF tail blades. Any experiences?

The first batch of MAH's hit the streets. MSRP is 65.00. More will follow shortly.
These blades are 425mm in length and are non tapered.
Check with your local hobby shop.

Make no mistake, the Lepton EX performs like a 90 heli on drugs. It's that good. The stock tail blades hold surprisingly well even during high speed upright or inverted tail-first manuevers. The tail blows on occasion at low RPM's, but that is expected given it's size. Bump the head speed to compensate, or better yet, reach into your wallet and grab $7 for bigger tail blades.
Can you post a link for bigger blades for the Lepton at $7 ??? Of course not with 15$ shipping. LOL.
Thanks
