Here is my configure.

My throttle setting is 0, 43, 53, 63, 100. ( sure the physical linkage works properly)
My pitch setting is 45, inh, 75, inh, 100 (-3, +5.5, +9)
engine:OS37
needle: 1 1/4 turn
blades:550mm
30 muscle pipe.
cool power 15%

Symptoms:
my engine idle speed is normal and my throttle trim is at the middle position. When I moved up the throttle almost about 1/4 stick that is 30-35%, the clutch still is not engaged at the speed. The rotor is not spinning.
At the mid stick, the bird still cannot get off the ground. Until full stick, it can only just above the ground at 1 foot about.

I suspect that my engine is not mounted correctly and the engine power cannot be transmitted to the rotor properly. I have reviewed the manual, but I cannot find any hints how to align the clutch and the clutch bell.

When I look at the side, the clutch is just completely covered by the clutch bell. The clutch is not going too deep inside the bell or fall outside the bell. I don’t know if it is correct.

Should I reinstall the engine and push it very hard all the way up so that the clutch is approx 1mm inside the clutch bell. However, I am afraid the clutch will be jammed and cannot maintain a proper idle speed.

Any comment is highly appreciated.

As long as you fitted the washer and O ring on the clutch shaft, then you can and should have the clutch fully inserted into the bell housing, as the clutch wont jam in the bell.
Also, I cant see how your mounting the engine to the frames if your not sitting the clutch itself fully home in the clutch bell etc.

Some pictures would be usefull if you have any that you can upload.

Do you have a lot of milage on this clutch? My first thought is that maybe your liner is just getting worn out, and that you have more clearance than new.
