I am home and installed the tail on her.
Since I ordered all the gears you guys recomended and whatnot.... Here we go...
I have the Z30 1100Kv motor and will be training with the 550 woodies... Target below 1900 rpms...
Help me with the gearing to get her there...
Also what settings for the DX7 do I need to use? New radio and heli for me...

13/50.20/61 should get you close to the mark.
I run the same gearing on mine with 530mm blades
As far as DX7 goes...my throttle curves are:
Norm: 0, 42, 100, 100 100
Idle 1 : 100 across the board
I am running the align 75amp speedie and using soft start on normal, so you may want to smooth that curve out a bit if not using a soft start.

13=pinion....make sure you do the grub up firmly cause theres alot of torque bro.42 or 50 is the gear on the top of the owb shaft the pinion runs on.it's alloy center has two grubs that retain it on the owb shaft.ya best bet is to remove one grub when refitting so you can look in the hole to make sure its lined up on the 2 recesses on the owb shaft.then locktite that sucker in and do the same for the other gru8b.if ya use red loctite it will be a right bastard to get out again....for your dx7 i'm fairly sure therte is a finless set up vid.if not his hurri set up vid covers basic (and complex)throttle/pitch curves
