Hi guys, i recently fitted a heliartist bell 222 fuselage to my belt cp but since i did the esc seems to be overheating:bomb: after about 4min flight time. Any suggestions for a fix/upgrade

Which esc do you have??? Are you talking a brushless setup or still pretty much stock???

the esc's dump current in order to supply the Rx and servo's with the appropriate current level's... they do this by converting it to heat... which is why, obviously, they get hot... The solution is to either disable the bec in the esc and install an separate switching bec... or simply buy an esc WITH a switching bec built in... The later being the better solution in the end... IMO

The EMax or HobbyWing 40A esc's have the built in switching ecs and produce very little heat at all... perfect for enclosed bodies... Plus at 40A you ge nice clean current supply to servo and Rx... no chances of brownouts etc... Many more plus's to using a 40A esc...

hope this helps...

happy heli'n

You can't run a brushless motor with a stock esc... the brushed and brushless esc's work very differently...

What motor do you have???
