Started to build my raptor 50 Titan last night, my first build! Got through the main frame assembly no problem, after reading lots of posts here and on raptortechnique. I already plan to substitute the stainless steel tail hub, change out the clunk line, and go with heavier paddles (I am very much a newbie, and only have about 8 flights on a Trex right now). Please let me know if there are any other mods I should do as I am building!

To me the Raptor is alot easier to fly than the Trex. Which can also make you cocky, I know I was doing loops yesterday lost it and crashed.

Good luck with the build. And I think you will notice a big difference in the two.

You won't need heavier paddles than the black. I just went from Rex to Titan myself and if you can hover the Rex I can more or less guarantee you that you can hover the Titan with any paddle.

I agree, i have less stick movement on my Titan compared to my T-rex SE.

Anyone that has flown a Trex will find a 50 class nitro very easy to control.

If you get a chance to try a 90 class, even more stable and easier to fly. More stable in windy days, just cost more and burn more fuel. If you can afford it, get one.

Hey where's the rest of the built? I did that much in an hour. Just messing with you. But, I really did just crack open a new Titan.

I was hoping to find a good built thread. For Instance, I had trouble putting the E clamp on the starter shaft. Until I found out you could slide the shaft down through the Clutch Assembly. I was able to take out the slop when I put the the starter coupling on.

Just finishing up building my Titan 50. Started 5 days ago and it was the second kit i've built. First was a 30V2, and they are quite similar. I didn't do too many modifiactions to it as of yet.

The heli will fly just fine with the stock paddles, don't worry about trying to get heavier ones.

I think you'll love it. I flew a T-Rex for a year, then went to a Raptor 50. Couldn't believe how much easier it was to fly, yet also more responsive. I've since sold my T-Rex, I just wasn't flying it anymore...
