Andreas,
May I ask what pinion are you running and how long runtime do you get (I take thats a 10s1p 3700 pack?)

Andreas,
Are you not afraid to chop of your tailblades?
It might be optical illusion but aren't your mainblades awfully close if not over the tail? :badair:

They are dude, they are :) But with high headspeed (wich needs to be hold) and hard dampening the tailblades stay intact. But the longer boom is always the better choice

I agree, some say no issues running stock tail, but why chance it? Get the L20 boom and shed any worry at all. At least imho of course, under good advice I only run 90mm tr blades myself. :)

I am using a 14tooth pinion on the Orbit 30-12 with a headspeed about 2200 rpm. Till today there was no contact with the mainblades. I think the 600er V's looking great on the L14 and they are nice to take some cool pictures but in flight they are to hard to the motor. I am using a Tango 45-07 at this time and get about 100 °C on the Motor thats not good at all :D. Tha batteries are ok they only get 40°C to 50°C hot after a flighttime of about 5 minutes. I put 3300 mAh back in a 10s1p 3700 Flightpower Lipo.
Here is a Video of my flying skills so you can see that there is no problem with the tailblades.

Some TicTocs, Snakes etc for testing :D

so you are saying the 600s' are hard on motor how, pulling big amps or just bogging it?

Try taking out a little bit of pitch Andreas. The V's have a lot more bite then a lot of blades, at first on my Ion-X, I had a lot higher temps until I fine tuned the pitch range. I can heat things up if I want, but I can also fly the machine without heating things up. It always takes me a while to get used to different blades.

Thanks I will try that. I like the VBlades mutch so I have to find a setup wich is able to handle a good range of pitch and holds the motor under 90°C. I do some test with other motors like Orbit and Actro as Daniel did also. I think we post our results here.

Excellent we would love to hear how it goes Andreas.
Once you get used to the V-Blades bite and auto performance, it is very hard to go back to other blades. For me it is impossible, I love the V's.

Thanks Andreas,
When my wife saw your heli she said, thats a nice looking helicopter,
where my response promptly was:
So there is no objection if I buy one of those?
Needless to say, a L14 is now on the way here.
I guess she meant the paintjob, but hey, you need to take every chance :)

I run V600s' on both my Logos with 10.5 pitch, no issues with heat etc. This is on an Orbit 30-12 with 14 tooth as your setup is as well. Because the Orbit has the magnets on the outer spinning core you can see temps up to 160-180 on the exterior, but the inner core is still under 140 whiich is still well within reason. I guess if you want to run 13/13 and need to have that range and stay cool, then yes a different motor will be needed.

Here is some quick pics of my painted c/f canopy for the log 10 and another stock logo 10 canopy with a black candy, apple and gold marbelized finish. The c/f canopy is just candy apple red. Unfortunately the photos dont do them justice. I need to take them outside and reshoot them.
Also, the c/f canopy is pretty easy to take on and off, (after properly trimming it a bit...gordo

BTW, I screwed up a little putting the gromlets in. Anyone have a good method for doing this without scratching around the hole. I seem to have a devil of a time putting those thing in :arggg:

Nice looking canopy there Gordo! Need to get me one too  ...Putting some tape around the hole that would easily peel off after you have installed the grommet would definitely save the paint. Did you clear coat your C/F canopy?? That might also help save you from scratching the paint around the mounting holes.

The tape sounds like it might help.
Yes they are clear coated. I will probably add another color to the bottom of both canopy's befor I use them in flight.
I have a logo 14 c/f canopy to do also. It's already yellow, so might leave part yellow, and do a different color in the marbelized part. So much to do, so little time after work...gordo

Running the lightweight power setup out of my swift, neu 1910 1.5y (290 grams) and flightpower 10s1p 2500mah "nf" packs (640 grams). Flies very nicely on mikado 580mm blades.

Woohoo Nathan!!! Looking good, and yet similar, lol. So what is the verdict and how do you like it?? What kind of HS and so fourth did you set it up to? That 2500 pack you must be flying 4 mins or how long...?

I'm loving it !
It's very smooth and predictable, but responsive and precise.
2100 rpm head speed.
I'm getting around five minutes of banging it around hard. This thing is really making me overconfident though, I need to calm down before I take some serious crash damage.
Ready to fly weight is between 2500 and 2600 grams (depending on what's onboard for data logging).
I'm too lazy to do more than a two tone fade paint job !
The resemblance is purely coincidence, I assure you.
I'm not trying to steal your groupies :p
