Hi,
Having recently built my t-rex 450 se I took assistance in getting the settings correct.
I am now a bit confused as to why one of the settings is as it is.

The gyro menu reads

MODE:GY
MIX:ACT
RATE-UP:AVC 100%
RATE-DOWN:NOR 100%
SW-B

The End Point Menu reads

AIL:70/70
ELE:70/70
THR:100/100
RUD:100/100
GYR:50:50
PIT:100/100
AU1:100/100
AU2:100/100

What is the significance of the 50/50 in the GYR section.
Should this not be 100/100 and the gyro menu 50/50 ?

Thanks for your help

The 9CHP has a gyro program in the menu. Go into the gyro program and set the program to GY gyro. Then you can adjust the gain and mode in the gyro program.

Set the ATV on the channel 5/gyro back to 100/100

So this would mean the gyro is exactly as it is except for the setting is in a different place ?
If that is the case and i have a little tail wag do i drop the gain to say 40/40 in the gyro menu and endpoints to 100/100

http://www.futaba-rc.com/manuals/9c-super-series-manual.pdf

Page 95 and 96 explain how to set up the gyro menu.

The ATV's control the gain a little different than the gyro program. 50% ATV in either direction does not nessecarily mean the gain on the gyro is 50% in either mode. At least with the GY gyros is the case. I know 100% ATV on the gear channel will register about 110% gain showing on the GY 601/611 screen.

But using the gyro program in the 9C. 50% in the gyro program is 50% gain on the GY gyro.

Set the Ch.5 ATV's to 100/100.
Then adjust the gain in the gyro program.

And depending on what hole in the servo arm you are using (i had to drill one very close) your final gain percentage is going to be low to mid 30s
