while installing a new TR servo today, i found a disturbing problem on my p-max. i noticed that the grey plastic ball link on one end of the TR pushrod could be removed from the pushrod simply by pulling on it. i tried this with another black ball link that came with my original kit. same thing. the ball link can be pushed on, and pulled off of the threaded rod in the TR pushrod without twisting it. it takes a little force, but not much. since this was repeatable with a number of different ball links, it seems like the problem is with the threaded rod that the link is supposed to screw onto. the threaded rod must be just a little undersized, maybe due to the threads being cut incorrectly. this doesn't give it enough "grip" in the ball link to hold it on securely. unfortunately, there is no way to remove the threaded rod without destroying the pushrod, especially since i used locktite on it. i will call century and see if they will replace the entire pushrod. they will probably want me to send my existing pushrod to them first :(
remember when century had that problem with the bad flybar threads that could cause a paddle to come off in flight? i got one of those in my original kit. similar thing here with the pushrod. has anyone else had this problem? my pushrod was purchased recently; within the last three weeks. better check your pushrods, guys.
