I have constant problems trying to charge my TX packs (700 Nicad and 2100 NiMH). They always false peak, particularly the NimH. I set the triton at the minumum 100Mah to stop this but then the charger times out after a while (can't remember how long, a few hours I think).
ANyone else suffer this? I'm gonna grab a wall charger soon I think!

I have never had any problems charging my Nicad, NiMH or Lipo\ion with my triton.
What size and capacity are the packs you are trying to charge and also the rate for each one?

Leave the TX on the Wall charger that came with the TX.
These Batteries don't like fast charging.
The Triton won't trigger on 100mah charge..ever. It doesn't matter what type of battery.
For your 2100mah NiMH use 200-600mah charge, any higher and you shorten it's lifespan.
The Triton will peak detect fine from 200mah upwards.
You need to change the peak detection voltage sensitivity to a lower voltage from the sound of it. It's somewhere in the manual...can't remember where at the moment and can't get to the charger/manual right now.

I didn't get the charger with my TX - got one of those TX only bargains.
The niMh's are 8 x AA 2100 Mah cells. If I use 100Ma it does nto detect peak but it times out - the Triton seems to have a maximum charge duration. I'll search the web for the manual and look it up again.
Gonna grab a wall charger today I think - just for convenience

You will find the manual in PDF form here: http://www.electrifly.com/chargers/gpmm3150.html
I run a 2100mah NiMH in one of my helies.
If you can wait for a few hours, I will check what my peak/volts per cell sensitivity is set to, as I know it works fine on mine.
You still can use the Triton for your TX, just charge it at 100mah and use the timer, set to cut off after 12 hours.
Normal rechargeble Nicads should be charged at 1/10th of their capacity, but are perfectly safe to charge a little bit higher.
In your case, 1/10 would be 70ma but 100 ma is just fine without reduction of service life on your TX battery.

Wonderful - your volt figures would be grand! (I think I'm going to whack a JST lead on an unused 3s 1050 Mah lipo as well....)

Sorry for not getting back earlier.
set battery type to NiMH
press menu button and rotate dial to voltage sensitivity
Press the rotate button and set to: 4mV
The peak sensing works on mine down to 200ma charging current for NiMH.
Hope this helps

thanks. I think I have mine set on 12 Mv - I thought the higher the number the more charge you would get in. I disable the time limit and still couldn't get more than about 120 Mah in without it ending. I've set it on a discharge/charge cycle whilst I'm at the office to see hwo it gets on.
