Does anyone know how long is the typical life for the Zenoah engines?

Well I have a 2-stroke Lawn Boy that is still running after 11 years, still starts second pull ;) AMSOIL BABY!
The only time I have ever heard about one "breaking" is when people let them go lean for too long.

As Dan and Rodney have said, letting one go lean and possibly physical damage should be the only reasons to have one of our gas Zenoah motors go bad.
The cylinders are super hard as well as the ring. A few scratches in the bore are expected over time.
One other point to ponder is that these motors have all replaceable parts (cylinders, rings, piston, rod/crank, etc.) and are relatively inexpensive to repair.
I have well over 400 hours on my G-231 TRM motor and it is still like new. When it gets worn, I will send it to Toxic Al and have it refreshed!
