Whilst waiting for my T-Rex 700 kit to arrive I find myself undecided on which servos to purchase. I am a bit undecided between the Futaba BLS451 servos and the Align 610. I am a bit worried about the 610 reliability on the long term. What do you guys think?
Also which servo should I put for throttle?? Is a standard servo ok as a throttle servo or should it be a fast servo as well? Sorry for stupid question but this is my first nitro heli.

I personally don't worry about the long term. It is a highly crashable RC helicopter after all. I can never seem to wear anything out, I always break it and have to order new stuff.:o

I just ordered my second 700, and went with the ds610's.

I've been running the DS610's on 7V (direct A123) with V-Bar and they're doing great!!

the 610's are a great price and I hear they are a really good servo. I am running 8717HV's and could not be happier.

as for a throttle servo, I like to use a mini servo to save weight. I use either JR 3400G or 3500G's on throttle, but a futaba 9650 or 9257 would also work well. readyheli sells the custom heli parts adapter plates for them that makes installation supper easy.

Its the exact same servo, only called 8717 in the states. If you can get them for $90 each id buy as many as you can afford. If fact got a link to the site that is selling then for that price?

Cheers

Sweet, ordered 3. Just hope they turn up. They are currently twice that price in the UK.

I have 8717s on my 50 and two of my 90s, nothing else. They work like they should. :smokin:
