I have a BLS251 and Spektrum 7000. I'm using it on the tail for my trex600.

Anyway... I clipped the futaba tab, I figured out the tab end is the positive. I plugged it directly into the receiver at first and powered my servos with a nicad battery 4.8V.

The servo is not on. It does nothing.

I tried to hook it up to my spartan gyro, set the spartan menu. Nothing, dead.

Any ideas? Do I need more power maybe? Do I need to hook up my 2-1 and run my electronics with my lipo?

Thanks

I think you're in the wrong thread.

But the ground wire is on the opposite side of the tab, positive in the middle, and the signal wire on the side of the tab. If you plug it in incorrectly it should not damage anything. Try both ways at least.

I don't own a spartan or a BLS251, but I know the BLS251 is for use with the 611. I'm pretty sure the Spartan works with it though. You probably have to change a setting on the spartan for narrow pulse to use the servo? So I'd definitely try it plugged into the gyro and with the gyro powered and figure out how to set for 760 pulse mode.

I believe the BLS251 is like the S9256 from the GY611 gyro set. BLS251 can only work if plugged directly in to the GY611 gyro control module. Plugging directly onto the rx will not make it respond.

The pulse width on that servo is 760 and can only be used by the gyro so reconnect it to the gyro and see if it works correctly

You need th follow the directions that came with the spartan, you need to set the pulse width before you connect the servo to the gyro VERY IMPORTANT

Thanks! I got it working.

I was running a 4.8V nicad for the servos for setup purposes and even plugging the servo into the gyro was not working, which made me write the post.

I charged up my lipo for my 2-1 and powered the servos and then the gyro responded when hooked up to the Spartan. I guess the servo senses how much power it is receiver and does not respond.

Yes, first thing I did was set the response rate on the spartan. The BLS251 is specifically listed in the manual, so that was helpful.

Thanks, looks like I'm good.
