Hi everyone
I got my Aeolus at the beginning of April and completed the build a couple of weeks ago. I must say first off that building this heli was a great experience. This was my first kit heli built and at that a nitro heli. The best part of putting this heli together was the first lift off. The hardest part of the build was getting all the electronic components together. I had changed my mind a couple of times for serveral of the components after reading some reviews, comments on the various forums, and talking with vendors about their electronics. Anyway here is what I have:
CF/TT model
Transmitter: Spektrum DX7
Receiver: Spektrum AR9000
Receiver Battery: Rhino 2S 1750 mAh 20C
Cyclic Servos: Hyperion DS20xSMD
Throttle and Rudder Servos: Hyperion DS20-GMD
Gyro: Spartan DS760
Engine: OS50 Hyper
Muffler: Mavrikk Hi Volume
Fuel: Cool Power 30%
Governor: MultiGov Pro
Voltage Regulator: Align 2-in-1
I will be posting photos of the completed heli once I learn how to add photos to a post.
Have fun and be safe

Aloha everyone
Here are the photos taken last weekend of my Aeolus 50 3D.
Since last weekend, I connected and configured the MultiGov Pro and rerouted all the wires to have a cleaner look. Also I moved the control switch for the voltage regulator from the top of the electronics pod to the lower part of the right side frame because the canopy was rubbing the corners of the switch.
I'll be taking some photos of the new placement and rewiring, then I'll post that as well.

Thanks Chris
My dad is coming over from Oahu for the weekend. We'll be doing some fine tuning on the OS50. It'll be interesting to see how the governor does now that the OS50 is pretty much broken in. :thumbup:I am very happy with the reworked placement of the components and the rerouting of the wires. I'll take photos and post them when we get back from the field tomorrow.

So how did this heli work out for you? I'm in the market for a good CCPM 50 size heli. I don't know too much about this one.

Where would I get parts in the USA if I bought one?
Do you think they will be in business in 2-3 years for continued support?
I dont own one....yet. But am interested. Ive read a little about the heli and its been positive.
A full review can be found at r c heli resouce
A video review here, http://www.helituning.com/index.php/video/build/419-ahf-aeolus-50-3d.html
There is also a forum for it at run ryder.
I am told many parts from the trex 600n will work on this heli.
Other suppliers of the brand,

Mine just arrived yesterday. I'm going to start building it soon. The only thing that sucked was the way they packed the kit. The heaviest components were packed inside the canopy. The paint has cracks in it. Luckily, the clear coat wasn't cracked.
Also, the manual isn't the greatest... but oh well. I really shouldn't complain though. I paid only $180.00 for it:lol:
Looking forward for the build:thumbup:

Looks great CEGLOBAL. Good to hear its all going well for you.
A bit of advice....I would look at moving the gyro from the given mounting position to on top of the servo close to the elevator shaft.
I have vibration issue with the gyro & it was that mount being to flexible when moved by the canopy supports.

Awesome stuff! I just finished building mine, got two tanks through it, first nitro too.. This thing was a freaking joy from start to finish and you CANNOT beat the quality. I didn't find one problematic part, all bearings smooth, ugh what a refreshing change.
I got mine flying for about $500 to boot.
My canopy had a few minor cracks as well. But it's no issue as I'll have a nicely done custom one sooner or later for shelf use, and keep the stock one for flight.

hobby-wing also has Aeolus 50 3D helicopter for sale. I compare the price on rremodels, ahf-usa and newenglandheli. Seems price in hobby-wing.com is quite competitive. Their 50 CF comes with muffler, 600mm fiber blades and Engine, and price is $379, while on ahf-usa, the price is $399 but no engine.
