anyone know how to use the exponential setting on a transmitter to soften the response? i have a futaba 6exhp-i don't understand the manual-
i want to make the elevator and aileron controls less sensitive-i am just learning to fly this baby

The dual rates switch activates the exponential control.

Follow the instructions on page 12 of your manual for accessing and adjusting the desired control.
You must be sure you put in a posative value or you will make the control more sensative, the higher the posative value the softer the input will be in the first part of stick travel.

thanks broncomech-the instructions in my manual say an exponential value with a "-" in front will make the servo movement softer????-that is what confuses me-the guy at the hobby shop said something like you- a positive value??

on futaba radios you want t use negative expo to soften the controls around center
