G5000T Is it worth it?

I was recently offered a new in box JR G5000T Gyro, its been at my LHS for quite a while now and their looking to get rid of it. The price is right i just wanted to know if this gyro can compare to the new style gryos like the 770. I wont be doing any hard 3d for a while since im just learning to fly the big 90's. I will be using it on a Synergy N9. Any comments?

Unless the price is very low... like $50 or less, I wouldn't bother with it. And only then if I couldn't afford something else. In the JR line, that gyro was surpassed by the G500T (a one-piece gyro) and again by the 770. So that G5000T is way-old tech. The amplifier box is just something more to have to mount somewhere.

Thanks, that is all i needed to hear, its not that i cant afford a 770 but i thought if this could compare it would be a pretty big savings. Thanks for the info
