Hey there ladies!
I just had to share with you. I went to my first fun fly at MVRCC (in southern Ohio). Oh my, it was awesome!!!
:banana
All of the pilots, including the long time plankers, treated me VERY well. Some asked me how I got into flying, some offered words of encouragement, and some just hung around to chat. (Mental note: take more chairs for under our canopy for guests.)
Their flying field and club there was great. I found out that flying out in the open like that makes me want to hover much higher than here at home. I had her up about 20-30 feet - WOW! It felt soooooo good.
Oh and you'll be happy to hear - we went with 2 Trexs and came home with an additional Century Swift - so much for the wind excuse for not flying - now we can fly in pretty much anything!!
:fly
Yes, hubby mechanic flew it once and HAD to have it - then he had me fly it too - I was a bit nervous but I do see the difference. See pic in TJRIDE gallery - notice caption, MY Swift - we are discussing that two letter word!!!
It was an incredible day - I went through 6 battery packs - which is more then I have been able to do in a week lately!
