Hey there ladies!

I just had to share with you. I went to my first fun fly at MVRCC (in southern Ohio). Oh my, it was awesome!!!
:banana

All of the pilots, including the long time plankers, treated me VERY well. Some asked me how I got into flying, some offered words of encouragement, and some just hung around to chat. (Mental note: take more chairs for under our canopy for guests.)

Their flying field and club there was great. I found out that flying out in the open like that makes me want to hover much higher than here at home. I had her up about 20-30 feet - WOW! It felt soooooo good.

Oh and you'll be happy to hear - we went with 2 Trexs and came home with an additional Century Swift - so much for the wind excuse for not flying - now we can fly in pretty much anything!!

Yes, hubby mechanic flew it once and HAD to have it - then he had me fly it too - I was a bit nervous but I do see the difference. See pic in TJRIDE gallery - notice caption, MY Swift - we are discussing that two letter word!!!

It was an incredible day - I went through 6 battery packs - which is more then I have been able to do in a week lately!

Glad you had a great time!! Events RULE!!

Anytime you bring home your helis in one piece after flying at an event is a great event!! The extra pucker factor at events is really exciting!! It is addicting!!

I agree with Will..

Another thing is you learn by mixing members from different clubs at a single event. This weekend several MHA pilots visited Fredericksburg most (not me - me too new) performed maneuvers members there did not realize a helicopter could do.

Plus at a fun-fly you have the camaraderie you just can’t find any place else. You also here more of heli pilot’s most favorite phrase repeated again and again “Lower – lower – lower”

Happy flyin’

I got tired of waiting for someone to have one within a decent drive so I had my own. It worked out great and I learned so much it took me like a week to digest it all. Everyone of the local pilots flying has improved because of it. Its going to be an annual thing now.
