Whent out to fly today, the wind was about 3 to 5 mph with small gusts. The heat was cuasing some problems with electronics but all was going good. 3 small hops to work out the new setup on the head. After that I went to forward flight seemed to be on rails nice tight ff. all of the suden cyclic starded geting soft and and as I gave more collective the headspeed whent up but I started to loose alt. On my atempt to bring it down suddenly the bird fish floped the last about 18 in to the ground landing on its side. I had hit the t.h. befor impact so not much got damaged. I found that the screws that hold the seesaw in the head backedout. only losse was my woodie blades and horzontal fin. Some ca in the screw holes on the seesaw (only in the hole gota keep it from geting out) got it back together. Soon I will finish changing to a trex head and seesaw.

ok update found my main shaft did have a varry slight bend at the top I have ben working too much overtime this week to mess with it till last night. lhs dont open till 10 am :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: ohwell gota go get a flybar as I switched to trex head seesaw and cage to find out the x400 flybar is thicker then trex one so need to go anyway. I also got some 315 cf blades from align and they look sweet forgive the fact there is now flybar on in the pict as I still need to buy it today.

I have only been hovering my mx400 pro for about 12 flights( I got it used) and only noticed a problem with the seesaw screw after a very light tip while on the ground which also messed up the plastic head, feathering shaft, main gears, and cheap wood blades too. The screw basically pulled out (stipping it) so I had to replace the seesaw. I didn't try to reuse it by using CA in the hole though.

The main gears had separated from the permanant metal one way bearing by about an 1/8 of an inch. That eventually caused too much binding when pushing down on the counter gear until the motor stopped. I didn't respond quick enough to kill the motor(spectator syndrome).

I think the counter bearings are in sad shape because of it too because I had a spot that was kinda rough when rotating the main gears that appeared to concide with the counter gear rotation but that eventually smoothed out on it's own but now I have a high pitch metal scream to it. Bearings will probably lock up soon if I don't replace em :bomb: . I have never replaced them before though and hope I don't have to take apart the entire heli to do it.

I will be doing a x400 build soon and a tech vid with it. I spent 35 bucks on the align headblock, seesaw, cage, flybar, and cf paddles to prevent the stripingout problem. For the new vid I will show a replacement screw to prevent the striping problem and a mod for the screw to keep it fron hanging on the bushing. I will allso show many other tips I have found for this heli.

My lhs dont carry ark parts, I'm still pushing them on it. I'm hopin up for light sport and will end up doing a stock 400 or x450 but going to get a trex 600 first. I'm selling my hornets and other 300 size due to too much wind most the time and want the cash for the 600.
