Replacing Pinion on BCPP2

I'm doing some crash repair and was wondering how you get the old pinion gear off of the main motor. The teeth got a bit mangled in the crash. I tried using brute force to get it off, but the whole shaft moved inside the motor. I hope I didn't ruin anything. I'm also upgrading to the microheli autorotation gear at the same time.

You need a gear puller..... most hobby shops have ones that will work.
