Hi
I have just bought a Lipo Voltage Guard to give me an audible warnig when my lipo is getting low.
It says in the instructions to connect it in parallel to the electronic speed controller (not directly across the battery). I am still unsure where to connect it.
It has two wires only, one red and one black. Do they connect to the red and black wires that come out of the ESC to the motor (where there is also a blue wire) or before the ESC, which I think is directly across the battery.
Or do they go either side of the ESC, one on the red going in and the other on the black coming out.
Soldering I do not have a problem with but electronics is not my strong point

Any advice greatfuly accepted

Mick

Yes connect the red to the red wire from the battery and the black to the black this will be parallel. I think the Across the battery they are talking about would be in series.

Indeed - to put it simply - the two wires should go on the back of the main
battery connector - red to red, black to black. If you don't want to remove the heatshrink you may have on teh battery connector, you can use a scalpel and make a small "nick" in the insulation on each power wire , tin well with the soldering iron (so solder flows into the cable) then solder on the leads from the lipo monitor. I've done this on all my helis . The connection is not a high current connection so your joins just have to be solid - not uber.
