Hello all,
I am trying to get my tail setup, but i'm pretty new at this so i'm in need of some help. I watched the finless vid on setting up the tail servo and did as he showed. He said he was going to set his gain at 32%. That would be my gear travel adjustment on a JR6102 since that is what the gain is pluged in on my rec, right? Also on the gyro what should I set the delay at? I am using the 401 & 9650 combo on tail. Since I have your att. I also need a little help with throttle curvs. I'm using the hyperion 8turn on 3s with 26th pinion.

Thank you for the help!!!
Pete

No delay on a digital servo. Yes set your end point ont he gear channel but since it is JR not sure the value to set. Hopefully someone with a JR radio will give a good starting point.

PM Jack726 as I set his 3S lepton up with the same motor but i dont remember the curves I set off the top of my head. We set him up for 2600 HS.

"Hopefully someone with a JR radio will give a good starting point"

A good starting point would be 60 for your gear channel (gyro gain).

What kind of ESC are you using? Do you know if it has a gov mode?

I'm using a cc60 for esc. I think ill use curves instead of gov mode. I will start my gain at 60 and work from there. another question on the CC60, with the hyperion 8turn what should the electronic timing advanced be set at? Also PWM switching rate? Hopefully the weekend will be nice so I can get this thing up in the air!!!

Thanks for the help,
Pete

Also thanks jack726 for the curves

Hey Pete.

Did you download the current Castle software using the Castle Link?

I didn't know that you could update software. How big of a diff is the update? Where to get link?

It's a pretty significant update for helis. I downloaded it from the Castle Creations website. You will need the Castle Link to do the update. Here's the link:

On the align ESC I set for high timing and that dropped motor temps. Does CC stil have issues with outrunner motors? Seems I heard that?
