I needed a trainer box to use for FMS because I don't have a cord with the square end for my 7CHP. So I had an idea. I took a relic I had in my closet - an old AM Futaba FP-T4L, and removed the old nicads, charging jack, and RF board. I put a 9V battery clip in there and found the terminals that carry the PWM signal to the RF board. Ran a wire out from them, and that plugs into my USB cable for FMS.
I saved like $11 - and it only took me several hours :mrgreen:
But I do actually prefer using this old non-transmitting cheapy for the sim.
